YVE THYSSEN

Yve Thyssen is an Australian Illustrator and Mixed Media Artist specialising in traditional mediums. She loves to dabble in all kinds of mediums whilst mixing it up to create unique textures and techniques.

As a female artist she believes in the importance of depicting the 'flaws' of today's society as beautiful. Through her works she chooses to show imperfections as strengths with the acceptance of the self. Her works appreciate beauty through physical, spiritual and cultural differences. The notion of masking our 'flaws' eliminated to give way to acceptance. An ode to female insecurities and vulnerabilities and the strengths that are born from it. A celebration of thoughts, feelings and experiences of beauty with a message to embrace your own through acceptance and appreciation.

Yve currently is working on personal projects whilst running her own store with her artworks. She hopes to pursue gallery work in the future and continue to work on projects in the hopes to be able to work solely on art.
